MATE which also means a companion is a wooden stool which encourages the user to move around and also carry it along. The chair creates a slight discomfort as it is intentionally designed with a small sitting area to let you rest on it only when tired of standing/walking. It is not meant to be sat on for long periods.
When the stool is not being used, the legs can be folded and held like a carry bag. In working condition the legs of the stool spread outwards for stability, whereas when folded the semi-circular cross-sectioned connectors come together to form a smooth handle. It has storage space under the seat where one can keep small books or valuables. The seating area is upholstered for additional comfort.
